You are welcome at Cornerstone Christian Church! We are an independent body of believers in Jesus Christ with a desire to serve Him. We seek to follow the life and teachings of the early New Testament Church founded upon the chief Cornerstone, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:20).
A History of Faith...
This congregation has been active in Jackson for over 80 years connecting with and serving people of our community in new ways. The
church body was formerly named "First Church of Christ, Christian." It has
always been an independent, non-denominational Christian church. In May
of 2010, the church name was changed to "Cornerstone Christian Church"
to identify itself as a church founded on Christ as the Cornerstone and
to avoid confusion with the non-instrumental or denominational Church of
Christ.
The congregation is thankful for its legacy of faith and looks forward
to continual worship of Jesus Christ and serving Him in this community
and world with you as a part.
What We Believe...
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. All believers are invited to share in the Lord's Supper which is served every Sunday.
In keeping with the teachings of the Bible, we believe a relationship with Jesus develops through faith, repentance, confession and baptism into Christ by immersion for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit and eternal life with God.
What to Expect When You Visit... We hope that you find Cornerstone Christian Church as a place you can call home. We offer two different styles of worship on Sunday mornings. The 9:30 AM service uses hymnal and chorus music with piano and organ accompaniment to express worship to God. The 11:00 AM services uses contemporary style music with a full band to express worship to God. The message from God's Word is the same in both services.
Our fellowship time at 10:30 AM offers refreshment and the opportunity to connect with others. Being a church family is important and at Cornerstone you will find individuals and families of different types all coming together to worship God and encourage one another.
Our building is fully handicap accessible. Our hearts are open and our hope is that you will feel welcomed and valued with this body of believers. Please ask any of the greeters at the doors for assistance in locating anything you need.
